Technical detail
APIs authenticate callers, rate-limit abuse, and keep payload shapes versioned. Webhooks retry on failure. Bots share the same channel model as human clients so operators do not maintain two worlds.
Operational considerations
Integrations fail in production: expired credentials, timeout storms, duplicate events. Operating the API means watching those paths, not only publishing a reference page.
